KFRC’s PT department recently hosted an exciting one-day course designed to introduce physical therapy students from Northern California PT schools to the principles of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and its application in the acute rehab setting.
With approximately 20 eager students in attendance, the course offered a hands-on, immersive experience, highlighting key techniques and strategies for treating patients with neurological and musculoskeletal impairments.
Leading the instruction were IPNFA Basic Instructors Carly Martin and Jordan Marez, and IPNFA Senior Instructor Phil Villa, whose expertise and passion for teaching were evident throughout the course. Assistant Instructors, Nicole MacCarrick and Thanh Bach (aka “Bach”), also donated their time and were key in keeping the experience engaging and supportive.
We had a lot of fun hosting the course. We have plans to provide another weekend course for Kaiser PT’s later this summer.
