Article Recommendation: PNF Helps Improve Balance & Walking in Knee Osteoarthritis

A new study by Rimsha Sadiq, Sajjad Khaliq, Haider Ali, Izhar-ul-Haq, Ali Husnain, and Shaista Bano (published in JHWCR, July 2025) highlights the benefits of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) for patients with knee osteoarthritis.

The researchers found that PNF techniques significantly improved:

  • ✅ Balance and postural control

  • ✅ Walking patterns (gait)

  • ✅ Daily mobility and independence

These findings show that adding PNF to rehabilitation programs can help people with knee OA move more confidently and reduce their risk of falls.
